Extend-A-Suites Albuquerque West (ex. Rodeway Inn)

I give this place five stars across the board. The room has a microwave, fridge, hot water, and a heater, so I can’t complain. I like cleaning my own room, but when I’ve asked for clean sheets, they’ve brought them. All the staff have been really cool, which I appreciate. At plenty of other hotels, they seem to look for a reason to kick you out, and that’s hard when all you do is mind your business, go to work, and come home. Everyone’s going through hard times, and I’m glad people here haven’t been picking on me. I haven’t seen any bugs myself, despite other people’s complaints about cleanliness. The ECONOLODGE across the street is INFESTED WITH ROACHES. As for safety, do your research or use common sense, look around, and you can more or less tell where you’re staying and what might come with it. Then you can decide whether to stay or look elsewhere, honestly. Lol.

The bed and pillows were nice, and having a fridge helped. But the cheap price I found during the balloon fiesta showed in other ways. There were cockroaches, no trash cans in the room, and no housekeeping even after a week. I checked in and never saw another employee. When I went to check out, the office was locked and unattended, so I put my room key through their overnight slot. This wasn’t the worst place I’ve ever stayed, but I won’t return after seeing a 9mm shell casing in the parking lot. The number of homeless people hanging around didn’t help either. Rough neighborhood. I’d booked this because it was the cheapest hotel I could find after my other motel screwed me over.

The room and linens were clean, the parking was right in front of my room, and the accommodations were nice. The staff were very friendly. When my debit card got locked and I needed to rent the room for an extra day, Nick and Bunny at the front desk gave me time to sort it out instead of putting us out right away. Thank you so much.

The electrical outlet pulled out of the wall when I unplugged my phone, and I could see daylight around the door. There were roaches, broken lights, and the room was nasty. Not a nice place to stay, so don't stay here.
