My wife and I live at university village, and we love coming HOME. The neighbors are friendly, and the staff are great. When something comes up, they take care of it quickly. We got to meet the new property manager RO, who's very kind, and his assistant is the sweetest person to talk to. Thank you, university village. From B121

I moved to Albuquerque in November 2025 for travel nursing and was stressed trying to find a clean, affordable studio in a decent neighborhood. University Village met all my needs, and the process was super easy. As of now, I'm staying until August 2026. It's been a great choice.

The location worked well for me. It's a prime spot but was quiet. The maintenance person and cleaning lady were kind and cordial, and some tenants with pets were the opposite, leaving pet vomit, pee, and feces where they shouldn't. Security wasn't great, and the furnishings weren't either. The bed was very uncomfortable, the couch looked like it was from the 1980s and shed faux leather whenever I sat down, and the fridge broke during my stay. To make the place comfortable, you'd need to furnish it yourself, though I was only there for a few months. Management and assistants changed three times while I was there. It's been over two months since I moved out, and despite several calls, I still haven't gotten an answer about my deposit. I left the unit clean and as it was, and see no reason to hold or charge me for it. I took before and after photos and videos. They kept giving me promising leads, then telling me to call back. It's a small amount for them to keep, but the principle matters. I had even thought I'd stay here again if I returned, but no. I'm considering taking it to Magistrate court for small claims. I just called and was told someone else is complaining about the same thing, the deposit. Before I moved here for a job, another person had written the same review about not getting their deposit back.

I'm a college student and sometimes use the study room at night. A man who lives here came right up to the door, stood between it and a chair for two minutes, stared at me through the glass, and raised his phone to take my picture. He kept hovering there until my boyfriend came down. The room locks from the inside, thankfully. He said he lived here and was waiting for an Uber, but there was plenty of room to wait somewhere else, not right outside a room with a young woman in it. He could've opened the door if he wanted, and it looked like he might. I'd never been so scared. I'm glad it locks. His first picture of the man was after he stood in front of the study room. He circled around the fireplace and waited there until my boyfriend arrived. The second picture was when he got angry after I told him there were cameras and I was going to report him to the office. He clearly thought I lived here alone. If you're a woman who lives here or is thinking of living here, be careful walking around at night.

The community vibe is awesome, and it's easy to meet people and feel at home. The apartments are well maintained, and management responds quickly when issues come up. The location is especially handy for students, with easy access to campus and nearby shops. I've had a great experience living at University Village Apartments in Albuquerque, and would definitely recommend checking it out if you want a solid place to live in Albuquerque.
