The only things going for this place were the location and the cheap price. I gave it a try despite the terrible reviews and regretted it right away. When we pulled the sheet back, the bed was covered in stains and mold, and there was black mold on the ceiling. The tub couldn’t be plugged for a bath, and the shower handle fell off whenever we used it. There was no TV remote, so we couldn’t watch TV, and no phone in the room. We also stood at the desk for several minutes before anyone helped us when we arrived. Later, we waited another 10 minutes at the front desk when we needed help.

Roaches were everywhere. My husband and son left immediately, but the manager wouldn’t refund our full reservation, saying it was a “cancellation.” They’re trying to keep the payment for one night even though my family had to book another hotel that same night to have somewhere safe to sleep. I feel they’re scamming people by advertising a clean, safe room and bed. Roaches carry disease. Disgusting, they should be ashamed.

I’m beyond disappointed. The room was awful: no lamp, a remote that didn’t work, a terrible bed, and a shower that only sprayed halfway. The tub looked like it might fill up before I could get out, if I’d dared to sit in it. Service was bad too. Please beware if you see this warning. Sleeping in your car would be more comfortable.

Getting here is awkward. If you’re not headed into Knoxville, you have to make a Uey on alcoa highway. The parking lot is shared with another hotel, which makes it confusing to navigate, and it’s a tight squeeze when two cars are going opposite ways. Still, it’ll do in a pinch.
