The sunset from the Manor’s big back deck was the moment I’ll remember most. My daughter even said she’d like to get married here someday. The house sits on a hill with breathtaking views over the horse pastures and all around, and the grounds and Manor were clean and well kept. I brought my daughters for a quick July getaway in Virginia wine country. Driving in, we saw horses, crossed a cute little bridge, then followed the winding road up to the house. Our room was spacious enough for all three of us to stay comfortably. The staff were delightful, friendly, and accommodating, and made us feel at home. We’ll definitely come back. I highly recommend this wonderful bed-and-breakfast.

My wife came away amazed after a ladies’ overnight getaway at the Manor at Courtland Farm. The rooms were beautiful, and the house worked perfectly for their event. The outdoor pool was open, and the on site chef prepared gourmet meals. It also seems like an ideal spot for a small wedding. Highly recommended, and we hope to return soon.

Maikan welcomed us with a tour of the property and stories about its fascinating history, and she was there throughout the stay whenever we needed anything. She also made us a delicious breakfast in the morning that you shouldn’t miss. My wife and I spent our anniversary weekend at this hidden gem, and it was absolutely fantastic. The newly finished rooms were beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The Manor and surrounding grounds are gorgeous, and made us feel much farther from D.C. than just 45 minutes. Ignore the bogus negative reviews from the group of keyboard tough-guys in July 2023 and book. We can’t wait to treat ourselves to another visit to The Manor soon.

We booked the whole Manor and cottage for my daughter’s wedding weekend, and it was an amazing experience. Cliff and his team went above and beyond to make the weekend special. The rooms were spotless, the breakfast buffet was yummy, and the catered bridesmaids’ luncheon was delicious. I highly recommend staying and entertaining at the Manor at Courtland Farm.

The breakfast was beautiful to look at and delicious to the last bite, and I felt truly welcomed and wanted as a guest. That feeling is rare in a luxury stay, and it’s why I’ll be back for years to come. The place is classy without being pretentious, warm and inviting while still modern and connected. I’ve mostly stayed at B&Bs since giving up chain hotels years ago, and after enjoying more than 25 over the past decade, The Manor at Courtland Farm is my clear new favorite. I found it on a vacation-by-owner site and booked the spacious, cozy cottage at the last minute for the following day. Jean called early the next morning to confirm and make sure I had all the information I needed, which impressed me. The whole staff was warm, gracious, and happy to accommodate my requests. The main manor house is over 15,000 square feet, with sitting areas, lounges, media rooms, a game room, and lots of lovely hidden nooks to explore. You won’t want for anything here.
