Set back off King Street, this modern boutique hotel has a quiet courtyard. Everything inside feels new, clean, and well maintained. The room was spacious and nicely furnished, and the staff were welcoming and happy to help with my requests. There's a great breakfast restaurant off the lobby. A great stay!

The King Street location was great for walking to shops and restaurants, and the courtyard looked beautiful, though the weather kept us from enjoying it. We stayed here to be closer to our son after moving from The Archer's three-star hotel in Falls Church, where our experience had been better. This property had potential, but service and housekeeping need work. We weren't given the $25 coupon for either of the two restaurants, and only learned we needed it when we had breakfast on our last day, so we missed out. Coffee and cups weren't replaced one day, glassware wasn't replaced the next, and our request for a top sheet instead of just a duvet was handled by leaving the sheet on the bed for us to put on ourselves. We also never got the extra pillows we asked for. The bathroom was 24 square feet and the entryway large, but that felt excessive: it left the living room cramped and oddly angled, with only one sink in a huge space. It lacked the bathroom amenities the three-star hotel had provided. Parking at $40 a day seemed excessive, too. The small, hard-to-reach closet in the bedroom held an umbrella and a small refrigerator. We got a small candy or fortune cookie on two of our three days.

The staff were the highlight, really lovely. The bedding was better than at most hotels, with a down comforter and pillows, and room service was about on par. The little complimentary treats could be improved, though. Basic corner-store candy doesn't feel luxurious, and they should consider guests with diabetes. The TV was dated, not smart, and had about 20 basic channels with no way to connect for smart options. Bring a tablet for a better experience. The bathroom was spacious but oddly designed: the two shower heads didn't overlap, and the big bench wasn't reached by the water, so I'm not sure what it was for. It looked luxurious without the actual luxury. Jackson Pollack-style art and $6 water don't make it luxurious either. I wouldn't stay again without a serious update.

The staff made our anniversary stay at The Archer in November especially lovely. Isabelle asked about our room, and after I mentioned the beautiful tub, she had a bath bomb sent up. The attention and service were just perfect, along with cozy robes and slippers. This is one of our top three favorite stays, with the charm and service of a top-tier bed and breakfast plus the comfort and convenience of a very nice hotel. We loved the tub, the sweeping views from the bedroom and balcony, the beautiful courtyard, and the cozy book room off the lobby. During our visit there was also a delicious cocoa and cider bar, and we enjoyed taking drinks along on walks through the cute old town streets. Any room would be great here. We're not Locals, but would absolutely make the trip back just to stay at The Archer and enjoy the location. I can't think of anything to improve. Thanks to Isabelle and the other wonderful staff.

The food was good, and the staff from the janitors and food team to hospitality and the front desk were so helpful. They made everything smooth and easy for the event I was DJing and performing at. Driving three and a half hours with my equipment to celebrate with family and friends was more than worth it. Thank you all from djshortefromphilly! 💪🙏💪
