After getting robbed at a Baymont in Ft. Morgan CO under the only security camera that wasn't working, then filing a police report and being laughed at by the staff, I've had a pretty bad run with Wyndham hotels. This one was a much better experience. It felt like they had things together, and my stay was safe, secure, and pleasant.

The staff was rude, and the room looked shabby, with drywall tape peeling off the ceiling. The shower floor was disgusting and looked caked with dirt. For another $25, I'd stay at the newer, much nicer place down the road.

The room was tiny, the sink and tub had hair and soap scum, the toilet paper roll was empty, and a lamp was missing its bulb. I think kinder greetings might make guests more willing to overlook some of that. At check-in, the only staff I saw was the "manager" at the desk. I arrived excited and even complimented the beautiful entrance, but he just said thanks, was very curt, and rushed through check-in. He only noticed our dog as we were heading to the room and seemed surprised, though he did charge us for it. There was also a crowd in the parking lot until 10 pm.

We were glad to come back from breakfast and find that housekeeping had changed the towels and taken the trash, made the beds nicely, and vacuumed the floors. The room itself was clean too, so we'd consider staying again if some things were fixed. On arrival, nobody was at the front desk, which seemed to happen a lot. The halls smelled strongly of spicy, burnt food, and it was so thick it was hard to breathe. We figured it came from several rooms where loud music and noisy Spanish conversations were also coming from. Our signed agreement said outside cooking appliances, including hot plates and grills, weren't allowed. People were holding the outside doors open, letting hot air in and warming up the whole hallway. Some of those problems seem like easy fixes. Three stars from us.
