Comfort Inn & Suites

I just wanted to relax in the hot tub, but this was honestly the worst birthday ever. The pool was gross, with lots of hair floating in it, and the hot tub was just as bad. Kids were allowed in, and some threw up inside it, but no one came to clean it. Our first room hadn’t been cleaned, and although we’d paid for connecting rooms, the connecting-room lock wouldn’t budge, so they weren’t connected at all. The second set of rooms wasn’t very clean either. They also required a cash deposit that nobody had mentioned when we arrived.

The pictures online make this place look nice, but my stay was a joke. The suite’s jacuzzi and TV didn’t work, and the pool, hallways, and elevator were disgusting. Even the TV remote kept turning the fireplace on and off. When I complained, the front desk first said they could move us, then said they were fully booked and couldn’t do anything. There was no TV available and they never offered compensation. I’ve had good experiences at other Comfort Inn locations, but you’d be better off at a Motel 6.

The bed was hard and uncomfortable, and the hotel’s right by the freeway, so it was noisy. We stayed Friday to Sunday. On Saturday my husband asked for fresh towels, but we were told they were too busy to help. We went the whole stay without fresh towels or washcloths.

The front desk gentleman was very nice at check-in, but later roaches came out of the woodwork while we were watching a movie with our food on the counter. Please check your room. We’d been upgraded to the presidential suite, yet the spa tub was still gross. I lost my food and my hairbrush after the roaches crawled over my things. I’m really upset because this was meant to be our anniversary trip, and now I feel like going home. The location is okay, though you have to drive wherever you want to go. There are some cool things to see and do nearby, but they’re a bit of a drive.
