Saravilla Bed and Breakfast

Kelly and Rochelle were wonderful hosts. They made my small wedding ceremony in the ballroom perfect. I came to unwind and enjoy the historic house, and the breakfast was so good I'd love to eat there every morning. Book a stay, you won't be disappointed!

Before staying at the Saravilla, I wish the owners had disclosed that the B&B isn't wheelchair accessible and that every guest room is upstairs on the second floor. They also should have mentioned that several cats live in the house for guests with allergies. The cleaning products they use are very heavily perfumed. Most of all, they ignored the “Do Not Disturb” sign on my door. I wouldn't return or recommend staying here until those issues are addressed.

For Alma College activities, this is a perfect base. You can walk to campus, Alma Brewing Company, Pizza Sam's, Starbuck's, and Alma Bookstore. Pizza Sam's doesn't have sit-down service, so use DoorDash for delivery. The rooms are beautiful, and the huge house is spotless. There are more shared spaces than at any other B&B we've tried. Our little group had a lovely Happy Hour on the covered front porch. Kelly is a fantastic host and knows a lot about Saravilla, the Wright family, and Alma, so ask him about the history. He's also a very good breakfast cook, and Rachel makes amazing baked goods. We'll definitely be back!

The guest kitchen has a fridge, coffee, tea, and a microwave, and there are lots of places to relax, read, chat, or play pool. Downtown is small, with shops and restaurants. This was a fantastic two-night stay in a beautiful historic B&B, with stellar food and hosts. It was our third time in the lovely Turret room. Of all the B&Bs we've stayed at, this tops the list. Wonderful experience, highly recommend!
