The front desk staff were wonderful, professional, attentive, and nice, so it was a pleasant stay overall. We had a nicely arranged two-bedroom, two-bathroom room. The iron didn’t work properly, and the bedroom and bathroom doors, as well as the shower door, wouldn’t stay partly open or closed. They had to be fully shut or all the way open. I’d definitely return if I need to.

The room was spacious and clean, though the furniture was worn. I would’ve liked to use the fireplace, but it didn’t work. The stay was still very disappointing because the property was poorly maintained. The elevator was broken for our whole visit, and the exterior building locks didn’t work, so anyone could get in. Our room lock was unreliable too, and the room phone didn’t work. The desk person waived the parking fee as a courtesy for the broken elevator and our third-floor room, though I don’t recall seeing a parking charge when booking and don’t think there’s a reason for one here. I’d also paid for a late checkout but was told they didn’t know if we could have it. In the room, the stove range vent light and iron didn’t work, there was a cracked coffee mug, no dish soap, and dirty utensils in the drawer. The shower door leaked badly, and the WiFi dropped several times over the weekend. We couldn’t get extra towels without handing over the used ones, which defeats the point of extra towels. The smoke detector’s bright green, almost white light was disturbing in a dark room. I felt we were treated like untrustworthy tenants, though we were only guests for the weekend.

My work assignment runs until February 2026, but I left Sonesta Northpoint on October 1, 2025, after staying there from February because I could no longer tolerate the environment management created. I’d give it zero stars if I could. General manager Gwen and assistant manager Romessia were repeatedly rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. As a long-term paying guest, I felt like an inconvenience rather than a customer. Their manner made the front desk stressful, and I often avoided going there when they were on duty to spare myself the attitude and lack of support. That’s unacceptable leadership in hospitality. Kiesha, who oversees housekeeping, and her staff were kind, professional, attentive, and did an amazing job. Nate was consistently helpful too. They were the only bright spots in an otherwise miserable stay, but a few good staff members and strong housekeeping couldn’t make up for toxic management. I had to end my stay early. Sonesta Northpoint needs a management change to provide even basic hospitality, and until then I can’t recommend it, especially for a long-term stay.

The people made the biggest difference for me. The desk staff who checked us in, the woman who checked us out, and Natasha in the breakfast room were all pleasant, smiling, and gave amazing customer service. They kept turning lemons into lemonade. Thank you! I gave the place four stars because maintenance needs work. The trash cans by the doors and the doors themselves were dirty and banged up, which put me off at first. Inside, though, the hallways and room were really nice, almost Marriott quality.

Check-in and the stay were okay, and the room was okay too, but it was old and dark. The hotel had a toxic, almost sickening smell from air fresheners that seemed to be masking something else. Breakfast was horrible, with food that seemed frozen or prepackaged. It felt old and cringey. I was charged a pet fee even though I’d explained that, during my previous week-long stay, I sent my dog to an animal foster and no longer had her before rebooking another week. They also still haven’t returned my deposit, despite my previous attempts to get an explanation. Communication and professionalism from staff are seriously lacking. If you absolutely need a place, take the risk, but choose somewhere better if you can.
