The place felt safe and was fairly clean, but the room had a stale smell, like it had been shut up for days. Breakfast was advertised as included, but there was hardly anything available. The oatmeal packets looked old, so we left them. There was no milk or even plain bread, and nobody was around to help until we called. Someone then said there were bagels, but those looked stale too. We tried to get coffee while checking out, but it tasted strangely bitter, so we couldn't drink it. The fruit set out in the breakfast area was fake decoration.

The staff at Americans Best Value Inn were outstanding when my daughter and I visited Alpine Tx for the first time. The woman at the front desk made our stay wonderful and gave us information whenever we asked about things to do. Since we didn't have a car, the Tom Kelmer Tour was especially enjoyable. It let us do things in Davis county too, which we really appreciated. Thank you so much.

I've been visiting my boyfriend here for a few days at a time, staying overnight after having a few drinks and spending the rest of each day with him. Nearly every day, staff call to ask when I'm leaving and threaten to kick my boyfriend out, even though we're just seeing each other while he's here for work. I don't understand why they keep watching and bothering us. That's been my experience. The rooms also smelled a bit, and some of the furniture was dirty.

My dad and I stayed here on a business trip and had a great time. We were there for practically three months, and the rooms and meals were amazing. Leaving was the hardest part!
