La Loma Inn

La Loma is my favorite place to stay, and Faith is so accommodating. Highly recommend it!

We arrived in alpine without a reservation and had nearly given up when I called the proprietor of Lo Loma, who wasn’t on site. Older reviews had left me unsure, so we booked one night and arranged another. The place was very clean and had what we needed, including a comfortable bed, microwave, and refrigerator. It worked well as a base for exploring the Big Bend area. The National Park was overwhelmed with tourists, so we went to the State Park instead and had a wonderful time.

The owner was really nice, and we’ll definitely stay again. It’s simple, but a good way to save money. I prefer the tile floor to carpet that can be full of germs, and the bathroom was clean. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. There was a wall-mounted TV with cable channels and HBO, plus a new fridge and microwave. Both the AC and heater worked well without being loud. We stayed Thurs-Sun and didn’t hear any loud noise or disturbances. There’s a washeteria on site, and the bright exterior lights helped me feel safe.

For the price, this is one of the best options in town. The inn’s rooms are comfortable, with clean sheets and soft blankets, and there’s a really nice laundromat attached. The owner was very accommodating.
