Extended Stay America - Orlando - Altamonte Springs

Breakfast was almost nonexistent, just coffee and shelf-stable muffins, and they’d run out of filters so couldn’t make more coffee. We waited about five minutes before anyone greeted us, though the front desk staff were accommodating after that. Our kids slept on the pullout couch, but the mattress was covered in plastic and the sound of them moving around at night kept waking us. There were ants all over the kitchen sink and counter, the back stove burner didn’t work, and I saw a couple of bugs crawling on the walls, like in another review. The place allows pets for about $25 a night. The kitchens aren’t stocked, so you have to ask for every bit of cookware, cups, dishware, or silverware you need. There are cleaner, cheaper hotels around. I strongly disagree with the three-star rating and wish we hadn’t stayed.

We had roaches running around the room and dead bugs in the bed. Every time we tried to speak with a staff member, we got nothing but rudeness. That ended with us being forced to check out early. The staff lady gave us attitude and didn’t help at all. A 0/10 experience, and we’ll never come back. Never get a room here!

The staff made me feel at home during our long stay, and my kids will always love you all. I didn’t want to leave. It’s not just where you live, it’s how you live, and we were very comfortable here. Housekeeping comes when you request it. There are washers and dryers, and they provide dishes if you want to cook something. It’s a reasonably private location, and safety is a priority for them. They fix problems when needed. You might see a bug or two, but the place is very clean, with floors swept and mopped every morning. There’s hot, fresh coffee each morning and muffins too. I’ll definitely stay again. Thank you, Clorissa, Sandra, Natasha, Liliana, Christina, Housekeeping, Charlie, and Maintenance. Those are names I’ll never forget.

There was a baby roach in the room my family and I shared. The outside of the fridge was filthy, with brown spots. I’d seen reviews mentioning baby roaches on a bed and a dirty kitchen fridge too. We moved to a better hotel after that.
