Comfort Green Motel

The outside and location may not look perfect, but the rooms are great for the price, with cold AC, a mid-size fridge, TV, free Wi-Fi, and what looks like a recent remodel. The owner, Richard, is caring and goes above and beyond. He really made the stay. I’d give this place 100 stars if I could. If you need somewhere to stay or just stop and rest in the area, give it a chance. 10/10, and I’ll be back when I’m nearby.

We had room 24, a roomy space with two queen beds and a couch. The beds were very comfortable, and the owners were sweet and accommodating. It’s a cute little hotel and pet friendly too.

Room 24 was about the size of a small studio apartment, with plenty of space to sleep. It was clean, quiet, comfortable, had hot water, and was a very good price. The place is tiny and older, and appearances can be deceiving. Our family came together from south Texas and Wisconsin to meet in the middle and visit relatives in Alton. We’ll stay here again next year when we do it again.

We were passing through and decided to spend the night in Thayer, and Comfort Green Motel turned out to be a lovely find. Our room was spacious and super clean, with everything we needed: microwave, fridge, coffee machine with coffee, cups, and sugar, cable TV, Wi-Fi, a good shower, and cozy beds. The gentleman who checked us in was very nice, and we slept like babies. You rarely hear cars from the highway, so that wasn’t an issue. There were a few spiders just outside, but it’s the country, so insects are normal. We’ll stay here again when visiting Mammoth Springs State park and Grand Gulf State park.
