Super 8 Alton

After a long day on the road, I slept soundly on the comfortable mattress, which is unusual for me when I travel. The room was clean and felt fresh, and check-in went smoothly. Breakfast had a good range of continental options, so I didn’t need to rush off to find a restaurant. The staff were smiling, quick to help, and great throughout the stay. I was impressed by the comfort and value at this Super 8. It’s an affordable, friendly place with good quality, and I’d gladly recommend it.

We paid too much for a two-night stay that left me crying both nights because I was afraid to sleep there. There were bugs hopping around in the hallway carpet, suspicious stains all over the blankets, crumbs on the bed, and a bathroom that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned. Thank goodness I brought my own bedding. Before we left, I found bugs in my luggage. Whenever I went to the lobby to complain, nobody was at the desk. I’ve stayed in many hotels for work, and this was by far the worst. I’d heard Super 8 had a bad reputation, but didn’t realize it could be this bad. I wish I could get my money back to fumigate my belongings.

Breakfast was a nice start to the day, and the location was convenient. My room was spotless and cozy, and the staff did more than expected to make sure things were right. Good value for the price. I really enjoyed staying at the Super 8 and recommend it.
