Comfort Suites Altoona Area

We needed a room for two nights, Monday and Tuesday, because of an emergency-type situation. We hadn't reserved one, so we went in and spoke with the front desk woman about payment, especially paying cash. She explained what we needed, and we got the room. They gave us an unexpected 15% discount because of our situation, which was a nice surprise. I think the woman's name was Janelle. She was great, friendly, and genuinely engaged in conversation. She had already answered our questions as she walked us through the hotel amenities and where things were. I appreciated that real talk. The room was clean and nice, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was simple, with eggs, sausage links, a waffle maker, toast, muffins, bagels, and more. I wasn't keen on the sausage sitting in a puddle of grease that covered the bottom of the pan. The location is very quiet despite being right off the interstate. There's a 24-hour Rutters convenience store half a mile to the left, and everything else you could want is off the next exit in Altoona. I'd stay again if needed.

The staff made our stay amazing, especially Janelle, Pam, Addie, and all the other great people whose names I'm terrible at remembering. They give personal service, and after just a few days you'll be on a first-name basis with them. Breakfast was great, and our room was clean and spacious. You can't walk to dinner from here, but I-99 is close, so it's a quick drive to local attractions. We WILL be back next year. Thanks!

The service and location were nice, and everything else was fine. But there was a public hair and some suspicious white stuff on the toilet seat. Ewwwww!

I stayed here recently with my family and my cat. The front desk staff were warm and easy to approach, and even offered us dinner coupons. Our room was cozy, spacious, and clean. The pool was clean and at a reasonable temperature, with a slightly deeper end my brother and I enjoyed. Breakfast had plenty of hot and cold options. The downside was that the TV cable was out the whole stay. Getting to food or shopping may also take some driving, if that's something you want nearby.
