The best part was that my nonsmoking room, though it smelled like an ashtray, was reasonably clean and not filthy. Everything else was in poor shape. The ice machine didn't work, the outside had lots of crumbling concrete and rusty metal, and there were old collapsed traffic barriers sitting in the parking lot. My shower had no water at all, even though the sink and toilet worked. The room's heat and AC unit was very loud. When I told the front desk, the young woman said, “I think that happened before,” and offered nothing else. I had to ask whether anything could be done before she said she'd tell the manager. No one helped, so I checked out abruptly the next morning. On Wednesday, 01/22/2025, after finding another pet-friendly hotel, I realized I'd left my medication in the refrigerator and a large plastic dog food container in the room. A different woman told me housekeeping had cleaned it and hadn't mentioned any belongings. She said the staff had gone home, but she'd check the next day. I called again Thursday, 01/23/2025. The man I spoke with hadn't heard about anything left in room 215, but said he'd ask housekeeping. He called back to say they'd thrown away my medication and hadn't found the dog food container. He apologized and said discarding the medication violated their policy. He said his manager would call about making it right. As of 01/28/2025, nobody from the hotel had followed up.

I won't be coming back. On the first night, they charged me multiple times to get a room, then the electricity in half the room didn't work. They switched me to another room and charged me again. When I raised the billing delay and the other problems I'd already been dealing with, Mr. Allen said I could get a refund and find somewhere else that suited me, at 9 pm. I'd also waited an extra half hour after arriving for him to show up and check me in. There were so many issues I could write an essay about them.

The person checking us in was friendly, and the lobby was clean. But we were told the pool and ice machine weren't working. The room smelled of smoke, and the beds looked like they hadn't been updated since the 1980s. We'd booked for a weekend softball fundraiser, since the place was only 10 minutes from the field and had a pool for our little one. My husband went to cancel because of the smoke smell. The woman was nice about it, but said we'd requested a smoking room. I wouldn't choose a smoking room, or a hotel that allows smoking. This feels more like a motel where people get drunk, bring back a stranger, and leave. It's a glorified Roach Motel that needs to close and be rebuilt. The price is way too high for what's there.

The staff were fantastic, and breakfast had more choices than I expected and tasted very good. I was there at Days Inn June 22-25 for my 50th class reunion. The room was clean but needs updating. There were dead birds and cigarette butts just outside our door, and some rooms were taped off with yellow tape. I assume those areas have issues to be addressed later. The pool wasn't open. With renovations, this could be a top-notch place to stay.

Breakfast was the bright spot. The staff kept the area clean and well stocked, and had oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, juice, and Cheerios for my wife, who has celiac. The staff were kind and helpful, though that didn't make up for the motel's many problems. My wife and I stayed in early June 2024. All the rooms have outside access, so this isn't a hotel as advertised. It's on the main road on the north side of town, easy to reach, with plenty of parking. There's a deep pothole in the rear lot. The upper rooms aren't wheelchair accessible, and there's no elevator, which made hauling our luggage to the second floor difficult. The pool had been out of service for a long time despite the nice-looking pool in the advertising, and the advertised exercise room was closed. The ice maker wasn't working when we arrived, but worked the next day. Our room's AC was out on arrival, so we spent time at the Chick-fil-A next door. The place is badly run down. Water drips from the ceiling in some walkways, and temporary supports hold up some of them. They need repairs. It was pricey for the missing amenities and feels like a motel past its prime.
