Best Western Alvin Inn

The hot tub was in woeful shape, with muddy, unclean water. The pool itself was nice, and you can get pool towels at the front desk. Breakfast ran from 6am-9am, with a nice range for a hotel continental breakfast. I think the hot foods are only available on weekends. We were pleasantly surprised by this budget stay before our cruise. The rooms were large, clean, and odor-free, and the front desk staff were always friendly and personable. They went out of their way to get us first-floor rooms since some people in our party had mobility challenges. I felt comfortable and safe there with my child and family, and would absolutely stay again.

We'd tried all the other hotels on this highway and had a bad experience with them. They smelled and cheated you, so finding this one was a blessing. The price is very reasonable, even on weekends. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, the rooms were impeccably clean, and the customer service was great. We'll keep booking Surestay.

Those were the worst two nights of our three-week trip. We got a room with dampness and a smell, right by a noisy road, and the service was minimal.

Elizabet at the front desk was fantastic. Clean hotel, friendly staff, and an adequate breakfast. Great value, and I’ll return.
