The owners keep making upgrades, and the rooms are newly updated at good prices. The place was very clean both inside and out, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They’re pet friendly, with dog treats in the lobby. There’s plenty to enjoy in the community too, from shopping and food to kid friendly activities and festivals. It’s a great place to stay.

Our vacation started with a major problem: after traveling from out of state, we arrived to find the hotel closed and our reservation, made more than three months earlier, could not be honored. No call or email had warned us. We learned about the closure from a note on the door when we came to check in, and were very upset as we scrambled to find lodging at the last minute. Luckily, Millwright Hotel had availability and could take us in.

We’ve stayed here many times, and this past week the owner was exceptionally kind. We arrived early for breakfast, then checked with the Guest House about when our room might be ready. Since it was already prepared, the owner checked us in at 10:30 a.m. What could be better? There’s free coffee in the morning, and if you need something, they’re always willing to do what they can.
