The employees really made this stay for us. The women at the front desk and store were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant staff were lovely too. The food was great. The cleaning crew inside did a terrific job and were always courteous, even though I kept getting in their way while doing laundry. I try not to use all the machines at once, lol. Outside, the pool and pond areas were clean and pretty, and the grounds were kept up beautifully. The guys taking care of the property clearly work hard. It’s rare to find such good service from everyone in one place. We’re staying in the RV park and have been very happy here.

I loved spending time by the little pond behind the property, watching the ducks, geese, and turtles. Jonny Bird was singing at the bar and taking requests, which made the evening special for my wife and me. The rooms were very clean, the service was great, and the food was good. It’s a charming little oasis out in the middle of nowhere, and we’ll visit again. I do wish the upstairs steakhouse had been open.

We had dinner at Jacks Cafe twice. The servers seemed annoyed we were there, and my dinner companions could hear the kitchen staff complaining loudly. The food was barely passable and far too expensive for what it was. The front desk staff also made us feel like an irritation whenever we needed something. RV guests have to go through the front desk to access the provided showers, so that’s a pretty miserable way to start a vacation day. I won’t return, and I’m looking for somewhere else to move my rig for the rest of this trip. This was absolutely unacceptable. A well-run business should communicate through friendly staff, clear signs, and a maintained website. Longstreet seemed to want us out of their hair once they had our payment.

The lake outside, with its ducks, geese, and all the artifacts, was a part of the stay we really enjoyed. Our room was a good size and clean, and every staff member we met was very friendly and helpful. We loved the experience and are glad we stayed. Just to be clear, our five-star rating is for the experience, not a claim that this is a five-star property.
