Americas Best Value Inn Amarillo Airport

There was a spider in the bed, dirty walls, and disgusting sheets. We decided not to stay, but they still refused to refund our money. It was a terrible experience from the moment we walked in. Take time to find somewhere better, because I can't recommend this place. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

The guy at the counter was awesome, and I was surprised to find a hotel that still has smoking rooms. We thought those were a thing of the past. But the room was incredibly dirty. There was hair and burn holes all over the blankets, hair in the shower, and some brown liquid on the counter. A cockroach greeted us as soon as we came in.

Ryan P was great and got me checked in really quickly. The location is convenient too, just down the road from Walmart.

For a low-priced room, the quality was about what I'd expect, and I don't think I paid too much. The room itself was fine, though two queen beds made it feel cramped. The outside looked a bit sketchy, and the parking lot was rough, but I didn't see any potholes big enough to damage a car. My key reader gave me trouble, but the clerk showed me how to jiggle it open. The bathroom ceiling looked like it had water damage from the room above, though it wasn't actively leaking. I didn't use the pool, but it looked okay when I passed it. Just an old budget hotel, neither great nor terrible.
