Hampton Inn & Suites Amarillo West

The people here made the stay special. Sarah greeted us warmly in the evening and was helpful with recommendations. During the day, Lindsey was friendly, caring, accommodating, and a real asset to the place. Housekeeping was friendly and efficient too. The hotel was spotless, from the public areas to our pristine room, which had a comfortable bed. Breakfast was well stocked with lots of choices, including eggs, biscuits and gravy, meat, cereal, waffles, and yogurt. There's a nice little market area too. It's one of the most beautiful, well-kept hotels I've been in for a long time, and I'd choose it again.

I've been at the Hampton for almost a month, and I don't think I would've made it without this hotel. The staff have been so kind and comforting, the rooms are clean, and breakfast is absolutely amazing. If I travel again, I'll definitely stay at a Hampton. And if I come to amerville again, it'll be this one. Naomi, Hannah, Sarah, and Yenzy are all awesome.

The staff made my birthday stay great, from Naomi at the front desk to the young guy in housekeeping whose name I forgot. I've stayed in a lot of Amarillo hotels over the past three years, and this is my favorite by far. The rooms were really clean and stocked with body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and lotion. There's a 24-hour gym with a Peloton bike, treadmills, weights, a jump box, and plenty more. If you can't get into a workout routine here, you don't want to work out. The Hampton is across from Westgate Mall and within walking distance of some really good restaurants. For Aspen Creek, I'd suggest taking an Uber, everything is good there. Breakfast starts kind of early. If you miss it, it runs until 9, or 9:30 on weekends, you can Uber to Golden Corral or go to McDonald's. Also, go to Kau Tea and order a matcha with almond milk, or your milk of choice, and blueberry boba. Thank me later.

The fitness center was very good, with clean, excellent equipment. The eggs at the complimentary breakfast, though, were a disgusting powdered kind. They should have sanitizer nearby so guests can avoid germs from people who don't practice good hygiene. I paid more than at other hotels in the area, and it didn't feel worth it. I'd rather see them put money toward room comfort, like better mattresses and some soundproofing, instead of these subpar expenses.
