The free laundry and dryer were a nice extra, though you'll need to bring your own detergent and softener. I was also impressed by how immaculate the washroom was, and it looked recently renovated, or perhaps the building itself is fairly new. I went in skeptical after past hotel experiences and what I saw online, but the stay exceeded what I expected for the price. The rates were rock bottom compared with other options, and the place was clean and comfortable for a rest. This is a great deal, especially if you're on a budget. I'd easily recommend it.

We stayed in a Queen suite, which had two queen beds, a couch, and a little reading spot by the window with a booklight. There was enough room for two adults and my service dog. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and had what we needed for the night, and there were no pet smells. The price was excellent. Pets are allowed, and there were plenty there, all well behaved, but the rocky, sandy dirt behind the building isn't much of a place to walk a dog. Breakfast had bagels, muffins, toast, eggs, waffles, and several cereals. We went just before 9 a.m.; the orange juice, milk, and meat were gone, and they were running low on waffle batter. The eggs were edible, though not great. Staff were satisfactory, but only spoke if you started the conversation. Check-in was quick, and the interstate was close by. I'd stay again.

During a freezing cold front, I was given an unheated room. I asked to move and was put in another room that was unheated, too. They refused to fix the problem or consider any compromise. It seemed they didn't want to spend money on repairs and were willing to fill the motel with unhappy travelers. Theft of service, gross incompetence. I'll never come back.

I got a room with a door that wouldn't lock, a serious safety concern. I had several conversations through the front desk staff before hearing that the manager would only give a partial refund. They told me to call her directly the day after checkout, when she was on site, if I wanted to discuss it. I tried, but she was dismissive and passed the matter back to staff instead of handling it. I was told only that a partial refund had been issued, with no amount or explanation. I don't know the hotel's after-hours maintenance policy, but the response to a problem like this was inadequate. The manager, Tate, should reflect on how she handled this and on not returning her staff's calls promptly.
