The private pier and beach views were lovely, and we liked having amenities set apart from the public without feeling shut in. We rented chairs and an umbrella from a local company that delivered them to our room. Our renovated unit was clean and spacious, with plenty of balcony seating. The pool area was nice, with lots of sturdy, comfortable loungers. I was surprised there weren't more tables with umbrellas given the heat and sun, but it didn't take away from the space. The complex was well maintained, and I'd stay here again.
Room 322 was very nice and well kept. The beach is especially wide here, with big dunes where we spotted rabbits, deer, and gopher tortoises. The condo was beautiful, the pool was nice, and I think this is the only pier on the island. It gives you shade, fishing, and great views.
Such a relaxing place. The sunrises are spectacular, and nothing beats the ocean breeze on a cool, crisp morning. I love it here!
We fit a big family group comfortably: three adults and three kids in my family, my parents with their youngest son, and my grandmother, who was a last-minute addition. Our three-bedroom unit had a king in one room and a double and single in each of the other two. The view is amazing, and the people who live or stay here are quiet and friendly. It feels safe to let older, mature kids go to the pier or come back from the beach by themselves, so we aren't running back and forth for every request. To keep the condo cool, you'll want to close the curtains during the day. We'd been lifelong Ormond Beach die-hards and were just trying out different beaches, but we're definitely interested in returning to Amelia Island. Amelia By The Sea is already high on our list of places to stay.
The apartment we rented was very nice, well stocked in the kitchen, and had a lovely view of the pool, ocean, and dock repairs. The staff experience was nice too, and we'd come back. But the property has an old, repaired-and-painted feel, like the 1970s, and the building needs work. If you're keeping the pool open in December, how about heating it so people can use it?
