We went for pasta night at Troutbeck, and every dish was fresh, full of flavor, and prepared with care. It felt like a special dining experience. Staffan, our server, and Erica, the manager, made the evening especially enjoyable. They were warm, attentive without hovering, and knew the menu really well. The atmosphere was beautiful, the service was excellent, and we felt looked after all night. We'll definitely return.

Troutbeck was peaceful, beautiful, and so well kept that it was easy to relax there. The care and attention to detail came through across the whole stay. From arrival on, every staff member made us feel welcome and looked after, going out of their way to help. We had an incredible time and are already looking forward to coming back.

Lacey can be nervous in a new place, and the staff were very thoughtful about giving her time to settle in. They always asked before approaching or petting her. I didn't even need the collapsible bowls I'd brought, since nice metal ones were already in the Benson house. Everyone was kind and accommodating to my dog during my stay. At dinner, Michael was very personable and helped explain the menu and guide our food and drink choices. The seasonal, local ingredients seemed carefully chosen. Stephanie, the reservation and dining host, checked in thoughtfully about our preferences, and Kennedy at the front desk was welcoming and friendly.

We had a wonderful anniversary weekend at Troutbeck. Though expansion renovations were underway, the property was beautiful and had a lovely rural feel, with fireplaces in nearly every common room and scattered around the grounds. One of our best days was spent by the creek in a tucked-away nook, sitting by a fire with our dog. Thanks to David, Spencer, Miles, and Hunter for making the weekend special in all sorts of little and big ways. The stargazing here is incredible!

I photograph all kinds of places around the Hudson Valley, and Troutbeck is one of my favorites. I've shot multiple sessions and small weddings there. The grounds have lots of photo settings, from lush little nooks and lovely walkways to beautiful architecture and wide-open fields. There's also a beautiful creek, and the indoor rooms look gorgeous. I highly recommend Troutbeck for beautiful photos.
