I booked Fairfield inn Amesbury for a work trip, but the job was called off after four nights. Since then, they’ve charged my card four separate times, nearly $3,000 altogether. Management said they’d fix it, but for almost two months they’ve kept trying to get the money from my company. Watch out, and stay somewhere else.

The staff are great and do their best to look after people. But I’ve been here five times in the past year, and the elevator has stopped working every time. It’s a nice older hotel, though the rooms need an upgrade. If the customer service weren’t so good, I’d drive another 15 minutes to a different Mariott property.

Always welcoming staff, and the hotel is clean. The rooms are really nice, with a big TV, and the shower gets properly hot.

Breakfast was great, with fresh fruit and dairy-free choices for me and my son. Our room was tidy and clean, and the staff were really friendly. The one rough part was the dumpster pickup at 5 AM. That truck was loud, though it’s not something the hotel can really control.
