Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Buffalo Amherst/University

The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing, and breakfast was warm with a wide selection. Our room was spacious and excellent, with plenty of room to be comfortable. Service was prompt and well organized. A wonderful stay, and I’d gladly come back.

There was plenty of parking, and the included breakfast was a nice extra. The lobby, hallways, and rooms were clean, and the hotel looked fairly updated. It’s a convenient spot for UB events.

The staff are courteous and nice, and the location is great, just across the highway from UB. I’m due to stay again in the fall and hope some things have improved by then. The rooms were clean, but they could use tissues and complimentary water bottles. The elevators, hallways, and breakfast area needed more attention: the floors needed vacuuming and the tables wiping. The gym mats need replacing, and there should be wipes available for the mats, weights, and machines. Breakfast selection was okay, but the buffet should be replenished more often without guests having to ask. The laundry machines were moldy and need cleaning. The front desk should keep quarters for guests using them instead of sending people to outside businesses. I’d also like the market pantry to offer healthier choices than soda and Cheetos. Staff aren’t always at the desk; they sit in a closed office but come out when they see someone waiting on the camera. I hope this feedback helps the hotel improve.

I’ve only stopped here a few times, but it’s always been clean and easy to reach the highways from. If you’re visiting UB and need somewhere to stay, it’s a good option.
