Blythewood Event Center

Such a cozy vintage gem. The owners were welcoming and kind, and the catering they provided was delicious. Our wedding turned out so beautiful. Absolutely loved this venue!

I loved having an hour to unwind on the second-floor balcony, and we ate a really good Southern breakfast with all the fixings on the front porch the next morning. The house is beautiful, with furniture and decor that all fit together. After a wedding, my friends and I wanted somewhere with more character than a cheap hotel, and this old-school bed and breakfast was a great find. Ipha and Ellen were quick to respond and helped us choose a room that worked for us. Even for one night, it’s a lovely place to slow down and enjoy yourself.

The evening was wonderful, and we left feeling like friends. Blythewood looked stunning, and the food was delicious. Since we live in upstate South Carolina, organizing my son's rehearsal dinner at a place I hadn't seen was stressful. Ipha and I talked every week for six months, and she and her team were kind, helpful, and went beyond what I expected to make the night special. I highly recommend Blythewood. You won't be disappointed.

The house was empty and very dark, and we had to use our phone flashlight to get back inside and climb two flights of stairs. It felt scary. The place was so quiet with nobody around, and we didn't feel comfortable being there. The pictures gave us the wrong impression. In person, it was run-down, and there was a propane smell when we went in at the back porch. It was very hot, with air conditioning only in our room, so we were basically stuck there. We had a couple of hours before we went to our room, but there was no connection for TV or anything. There were no drinks or snacks available, so bring your own. For our first bed-and-breakfast stay, which we'd been excited about, this was a really bad experience. We wanted to shower, but had to move a chair to get to another bathroom that had a shower. I don't recommend staying here.
