I can’t put into words how disgusted I am by the room we nearly stayed in. We lost everything in a fire just a few weeks ago, and then found ourselves facing this place. There was mouse droppings on the sheets and in the dresser drawer. I told the woman running it, but she still wouldn’t refund the room. It was upsetting to see mothers with little kids staying there because DSS sends people there when they’re homeless. I’m not blaming DSS, since they may not know this motel is infested with mice. This isn’t okay.

Stained bedding, broken appliances, mold and water damage, plus roaches. This place should be shut down.

This place needs to be shut down. The bathroom sink was clogged, the tub and shower curtain were moldy, and nails stuck out of the bathroom door. There’s no microwave, and they don’t give you fresh towels. You have to bring your used ones downstairs to be washed. I even saw housekeepers literally working in pajamas. Horrific.

This hotel does serve people who need DSS help after domestic violence, eviction, or homelessness, so it can be a resource for the homeless community. But the rooms offered to DSS clients aren’t the ones shown on the website. They have very few amenities, with limited space, towels, and sheets, no garbage pickup or continental breakfast, and the shower conditions aren’t suitable. The tub and shower finish is peeling, and debris comes off while bathing. I also saw a cockroach beside the shared community microwave. I told the night clerk, who killed it and said, “One down, a million to go.”

There’s black mold in the bathroom and around both the room and bathroom windows. Staff also bang loudly on the door early in the morning, and if it isn’t locked while you’re asleep, they just barge in. The owner throws people out, even with newborn babies, for running the shower to bathe.
