JW Marriott Anaheim Resort

The room was kept in good shape, and housekeeping was attentive and quick to respond throughout our visit. We found it easy to walk to Disneyland from the convenient location. It wasn't too crowded while we were there, since we came outside the peak school holiday period for most of California. We had a very good stay.

Walking to Disney was easy, and we didn't find the Toy Story bus worthwhile. The rooftop gave us an okay view of the fireworks. Service there was slow, though, and it took a long time to get hummus. They'd also run out of dessert early in the evening. Elsewhere, the service was the best I've experienced in a long time. Everyone I met was courteous and eager to help, and housekeeping did an excellent job on each of our three days.

Joy greeted us with a huge smile when we arrived from a disappointing stay at a Hilton in Santa Barbara, and his warm welcome put us at ease right away. He handled check-in patiently, taking the time to explain the amenities and details. His positive energy set the tone for the trip, and it was clear he loves his work. The JW Marriott Anaheim Resort is beautiful and conveniently located on the mall's second level. Our room, breakfast, and happy hour and snacks on the 10th floor all went smoothly, and my family enjoyed the stay. We especially appreciated Joy, and our family has a special attachment to his name, so that felt like it was meant to be. Thanks for a wonderful visit. We can't wait to return.

Our package through Costco came with a generous daily food and beverage credit, and we'd happily stay at JW Marriott Anaheim again. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed we've ever slept in, the room was well appointed, and Garden Walk plaza next door had great restaurants. Theme parks were a 15 to 20 minute walk away. There were a few snags during our April 2026 visit. Two of the three restaurants were closed, and one of those served breakfast but nothing later. The person who checked us in couldn't verify the credits, so we lost $20 the first day after taking her word for it. Some evening calls to Guest Services went unanswered. We also had to request maintenance three times before the issue was fixed. Even so, most employees we met were friendly, engaging, and willing to help. The ladies at the floor 1 market, the breakfast restaurant hosts, Chelsea at the front desk, and the other desk staff stood out. That's why we still give it five stars.
