Pacific Inn Anaheim

The pictures on Expedia and Priceline gave me the impression this might be an okay place to sleep before heading out for the day. In person, the motel was disgusting, with a mess outside and people lingering around cleaning their cars who looked as if they might be on drugs. It also isn't walking distance to Knottsberry Farm. The pictures felt phony to me, and I have photos of the place if needed, though I'm having trouble posting them. I called Priceline to cancel, but the motel didn't respond to them and kept the money. When we came by at 3 to ask what was happening, the owner yelled through her drive-through window for us to get off the property. A nightmare. The owners were just as bad as the motel. Those glowing reviews and names like FANNIE and RICK don't add up to me. What a quack of a business. Do your homework before booking.

I booked for one night, then added another because I LOVE this motel. The first-floor room was quiet, dark, and comfortable enough that I slept perfectly for the first time in weeks. The blackout curtains kept parking lot light out. The area felt safe, and parking was easy. Bring your own food, water, and ice, then enjoy the peace and clean amenities. Walmart Neighborhood Market is less than five minutes away by car. For the price and value, Pacific Inn Anaheim is hard to beat, and the wifi was fast and perfect. The rooms are great too. Fridges are bigger than typical mini fridges, there are more outlets than you'll ever need, and the AC worked perfectly and accurately. The bathroom was so clean I could soak in the tub without hesitation; the toilet, towels, and crisp sheets were spotless. The managers, Rick and Frannie, handle things quickly, professionally, and in an incredibly friendly way. I'd recommend Pacific Inn to travelers and anyone looking for a staycation.

Rick and the team are friendly hosts, check-in is easy, and there's always plenty of parking. My room had been renovated relatively recently and was very comfortable. It was clean throughout, with outlets everywhere for charging devices. I'm not sure if every room has a fridge and microwave, but mine did. The AC and heater worked well, and there was a coffee maker, hair dryer, and ironing board by the sink. The closet is open, an interesting idea I've never seen before that makes the room feel bigger. The bathroom was good and the bed was relatively comfortable.

The front desk team showed how much they care about guests throughout my stay. One time I thought I'd left my laptop charger in the room, so I called in a bit of a panic. The woman who answered was reassuring and immediately checked with housekeeping. Since the room hadn't been cleaned yet, she went up to look herself. She called back shortly afterward to say she hadn't found it, but they'd keep an eye out and let me know if anything turned up. Turns out the charger was in my luggage the whole time, oops. Her quick response and willingness to help really stayed with me. Kudos to the front desk team for making my stay memorable.
