Super 8 Anamosa IA

I really like staying here, but the toilets aren't clean and there's mold in the air conditioning, which I can't be around. I'll probably avoid this location from now on.

I raised a concern because our room door wouldn't shut and the outside doors, apart from the main entrance, had no security. The front desk person, who might have been the owner, got upset that I'd woken him and told me to leave in the middle of the night. He was very disrespectful. This place is a joke and should be closed down.

After a 14-hour drive from Georgia, I was tired and only used the bathroom once. The bathroom was dirty, especially the shower, and the bed was uncomfortable, though I did sleep. I didn't shower that night, so I brought up the bathroom with the manager at checkout. He asked why I hadn't said anything the night before. When I explained, he said I couldn't complain after staying all night, then told me to be gone because he had work to do. This is the worst Super 8 I've stayed in, and I'd give it no stars if I could. I'll report it to Headquarters. I'm a rewards member and travel frequently, and I don't think this place should be a Super 8.

The location is great, with a Super Walmart in the backyard and gas and food across the street. The room was clean, with no smells or stains, and the owners were nice. Breakfast wasn't bad either. There were quite a few small things that needed repair or had been fixed poorly. I've been a handyman for 22 years, so they drove me nuts, though others might not care much. For example, the shower curtain rod looked ready to fall, and the toilet's wax ring and fill valve were leaking.
