Inlet Tower Hotel & Suites

The maintenance man was what made the place work for us. There’s no check-in desk, so he welcomed everyone, explained how things worked, and kept checking that we were settled and had what we needed. He even brought me coffee supplies and two fans. I was staying there while Holland America / Princess trained me to drive a motor coach. The room was cozy and served me well. I was on the second floor, with a beautiful view of the building behind us 🤣. I imagine the upper floors have lovely views of the mountains or the city and bay.

I came home after a week away to find there was no hot water, and had to ask random people whether theirs was working. There’s been just one working elevator since I’ve lived here, which seems wrong for a 15-floor building. I don’t understand how code enforcement hasn’t stepped in. When something goes wrong, like having no hot water in an already cold environment, communication by email is lacking. I wouldn’t recommend Inlet View Towers to anyone. It’s a sad excuse for a place.

The hotel is a bit dated, and the furniture was old and a little dirty, but the room and bathroom were clean. They came to clean every day, even though we didn’t need it. Breakfast was fine for grabbing something to go, and the front desk staff were great throughout our stay. Our family of five arrived early in the morning after traveling all night, and they accommodated us. It’s about a half mile to a mile on foot from town. We had a great stay and would book again.

We were relieved it was only one night while waiting for our flight. It’s about a 10-minute drive from the airport, but the area didn’t feel safe, and we were too uneasy to shower. We slept on top of the comforter. The bathroom was filthy: the toilet wouldn’t flush, there was spit on the faucet, and the counter still came away dirty after we wiped it with toilet paper. The floor made our shoes stick, there was no fan, and the heater didn’t work. They offered a space heater that smelled like burnt hair. The bed was uncomfortable, the pillows stained, and the carpet sticky. We heard strange noises all night. The kitchenette mirror was so dirty you could barely see yourself, and the gap under the room door was about an inch and a half, so hallway noise came right through. There was also a ceiling stain that looked like maybe someone had cleaned blood off it. We booked because the pictures looked decent, but they weren’t accurate. There’s a Marriott nearby. Go there.
