Baymont by Wyndham Anderson

The whole hotel felt clean and welcoming, and all the staff were very friendly. My hot tub suite at the Baymont Inn in Anderson was spacious, clean, and smelled fresh instead of musty. I worried the tub jets might be gross, so I followed videos I’d seen and ran the tub for 30 minutes with some vinegar in it. Turned out that wasn’t needed, the jet ports were already clean.

The bed was fantastic, firm enough and steady when either of us moved. After a hard day driving, we really needed the restful night. We didn’t use the heated pool or hot tub, though a bunch of happy kids were having a good time in them. We’re about to check out the continental breakfast, which starts at 6. There wasn’t much of a spot for dogs outside, just sand or mulch. I didn’t see grass, though I was too tired to look around. Still, it was a great stay, and Breann at the front desk was amazing.

Everything was spotless, so it was clean overall and affordable. The carpet and doors could use replacing, though, since they make the place feel cheap and dirty. The pool and hot tub were large and looked great. A nice spot for an overnight stay.

I left after checking in and drove the two hours back home because I didn’t feel safe or comfortable. There was a strong smoke smell, underwear on the floor, and damaged furniture in room 121.
