The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable, but the hot water wasn’t hot at all. Breakfast on Friday was fresh and tasted great, though the server could use more customer service experience. There was a deposit mix-up at check-in. The front desk charged one room twice for the $100 deposit, then at the third room’s check-in asked for another deposit even though three payments had already been processed. She initially insisted it was still due. I asked her to check the charges from the first two room check-ins so we could see who still needed to pay. She did, found the double charge, and fixed it. I appreciate that. We had booked two nights through Priceline. After the first night, we went to the hospital to see my uncle in ICU. He died that day, and my dad understandably didn’t want to stay another night after losing his oldest brother. We asked the hotel about a refund or credit for the following week, when we’d be back for the funeral. The front desk woman was wonderful and understanding, but needed approval from her GM, which I understand as a GM myself. He refused. My sister then called Priceline, who were willing to help but needed the hotel manager’s approval. The manager refused again. I hope the people running the hotel show their staff more care than they showed the customers who keep them employed.

Lee made check-in easy and stress-free. He was friendly, professional, and so helpful from the moment we arrived, making sure everything was handled. His positive attitude and attention to detail stood out, and he clearly cares about making guests feel welcome. Hilton’s lucky to have him. Thanks, Lee, for making our stay exceptional.

The restaurant food was great, especially breakfast, and there was plenty of parking. The location is wonderful, and the service was top notch. I’d highly recommend this hotel if you’re around the Anderson/Clemson area. Nikki deserves a special mention. She’s an absolute joy and does an amazing job!

It looked nice when we walked in, but after our first night we woke up to a big bed bug. My husband had three bites on his shoulder. We tried three times to reach the manager and couldn’t. It was a horrible experience, and I’d never stay here again.

We had a confirmed stay for Dec 25, and that morning the Hilton app showed the hotel preparing our room. I’d also checked my account and seen that the payment had gone through. About an hour later, I started getting alerts that the hotel was repeatedly charging my card. Before leaving, I tried calling all day, but nobody answered. Hilton corporate also tried the hotel’s lines several times without success. I then messaged through the app for that stay. At 430pm, someone replied, “We are so glad you had text us otherwise we wouldn't have known we had a complete phone outage.” So apparently the staff had spent all of Christmas Day without calls getting through and hadn’t realized it until my message. We got there around 1230am. The receptionist, Ms. Tiffany, said their systems were down and she couldn’t check anyone in. I explained I’d paid and had already checked in using the Hilton app. She said she still had to confirm me in their system. When I asked when it would be fixed, she said she didn’t know because tech support hadn’t called her back. I asked what I was supposed to do, and she told me to find somewhere else to stay. I asked if maintenance could open the room since it was confirmed and paid for while they sorted out the tech problem. She said she didn’t know my room number and needed to confirm it. I showed her the number in the app, but she said someone might be in there and she needed it confirmed in their system. I pointed out that I’d checked in on the app before their morning checkout and the room had been marked as being prepared, so it shouldn’t have anyone in it. She then cancelled my stay and ordered me off the property, threatening to call police if I didn’t leave. I called corporate again because the hotel had my money and wouldn’t let me into my room in the middle of the night, with my wife and young daughter there. Corporate called the hotel, confirmed the outage, and explained that they couldn’t transfer the stay, refund me immediately, send an electronic key, or compensate us. Their only offer, through a higher level manager, was to make a nearby reservation that I’d have to pay for again. Corporate said the same thing earlier: if the reservation is messed up in their systems, you have to pay at another place and wait for a refund from the first hotel. The next night, the money from the cancelled stay came back. I also heard from the manager at the other hotel that the same receptionist had done something similar to a Hilton employee trying to stay there, including trying to charge her another $250 and actually calling the police. They said she was known for being difficult and doing this. This hotel used to be our go-to for a long time, but something has changed. The staff seem completely unwilling to work with you when there’s a problem. I can’t understand how a receptionist can be so rude and so quick to throw guests off the property and still keep her job. Hilton corporate wasn’t much help either, since they said they couldn’t do anything. I’ll never stay here again. If you’re considering it, avoid it like the plague. Hilton corporate sent me to the nearby Hampton Inn, where the staff were wonderful.
