Best Western Angleton Inn

The front desk woman was kind, and I could tell she was embarrassed, so I don’t blame her. But the rooms were dirty and smelled awful. I’d driven all night because of a family emergency and stopped at the first hotel in town, the best western. My room had overflowing trash, dirty beds, and a strong mold and mildew smell. They gave me another room, but it had the same problems. I finally got my money back and left, which was really frustrating.

Both rooms we tried were dirty, so my daughter had to go to Walmart for cleaning supplies, and she bought her own sheets too. The bedspread had a dirty-looking imprint, like someone had lain on it while dirty. The rooms smelled musty, maybe because of the air conditioner. There were cigarette butts and beer cans in the rain duct. We’ll probably never stay there again.

Janice at the front desk was friendly, helpful, and professional. She welcomed me and thanked me when I left, which I appreciated. I had to switch from room 202 because it smelled moldy, had a lot of mold on the lampshade, a big curtain stain, no phone, and a vanity light that didn’t work. Room 203 was an improvement, but still smelled moldy. I didn’t see mold in there, though the bathtub had a hole with no cover.

The service was great, and the room was nice with a comfortable bed. No problems at all.
