Anna Maria Beach Cottages

The cottage itself was lovely, clean, and close to the beach. I stayed there with a friend for a quick girls getaway in November 2025, and it looked just as lovely as the photos. My husband and I had booked it for April 2026 before a cruise, and we were really looking forward to going back. Then, after I returned from a trip with friends in late February, my husband was very unwell. We realized the April trip might not happen and started cancelling everything: the cruise, our Keywest cabana, our night in Ft Lauderdale, and the cottage in Anna Maria. We got refunds from all the stays, including 50% from Fran Maxon Realty. We're still trying to get the other 50% back from the insurance we paid for when booking. We have to wait another 15 business days for them to decide whether we're approved, and then, if approved, wait for the refund. We started calling Ambc on March 7th to find out how to cancel, and eventually reached someone. The cancellation email was dated March 11th, and the first 50% refund arrived the next day. Now we're one day past our original departure date and still waiting for the rest. I've travelled a lot, been to several countries and 44 states, and cancelled plenty of times without refund trouble like this. I absolutely loved the cottage, but I'm beyond frustrated by the cancellation and the delay getting the other 50% back from the insurance company tied to the booking. Book at your own risk.

The island has become crowded and lost some of its quaint feel since we were last here seven years ago. These little cottages, though, are still as nice as ever. Cute, clean, and only steps from the beach. We enjoyed our stay.

The peace and quiet on Ana Maria Island is what my daughter and I love. Everyone is really nice, the food at the restaurants is delicious, and the Gulf of Mexico water is crystal clear. Anna Maria Beach cottages are just a short walk from the water. We love coming here and are already looking forward to staying again.

We head out onto the island rather than going to the public beach. It was a beautiful day on the water, and two dedicated guys spent two days building this pyramid.
