Annapolitan Bed & Breakfast

The downstairs speakeasy was a highlight, especially the espresso martini, one of the best we’ve had. We stayed over Thanksgiving week to be near family, and found the boutique hotel beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable. Everything feels carefully designed. The staff were kind, attentive, and welcoming, and arranging a crib for our infant made things much easier. We had a wonderful visit and would gladly come back to Annapolis.

We could hardly bear to leave our room, the bed was that comfortable, and both the bedroom and bathroom were spacious. We were there for one night on New Year’s Eve. Nadia greeted us so graciously and looked after us throughout. The house is immaculate, beautifully decorated, and carefully put together. We also enjoyed the cozy kitchen and speakeasy for cocktails. I grew up nearby and haven’t found a place this nice in more than 30 years.

The room, "Seattle Slew", was finished in modern grey with quality materials, and its bathroom was huge. The house itself is a recently rebuilt conversion, held to very high standards, and spotlessly clean. Staff were friendly, and we enjoyed talking with the bartender in the hip basement bar. Breakfast is simple but excellent: coffee, fruit, and three kinds of homemade, cake-like mini pastries. For more choice, Ceremony Coffee is within walking distance. There’s little room to hang clothes, just a wall bracket with four hangers, two already holding the nice bathrobes. No iron or steamer either, so wrinkled clothes are a possibility. The quiet residential setting, near a semi-industrial area, was good for sleeping, though you’ll likely drive or use Uber often. You can order items for the room ahead of time. We ordered flowers for Valentine’s Day, and they were lovely and fairly priced. The minibar prices were reasonable.

Such a relaxed, lovely stay. The staff were welcoming every time, the shower’s heated floors were wonderful, and the basement speakeasy is gorgeous and intimate, reserved for hotel guests. We’ll be back.
