The location is a real highlight if you want to explore historic Annapolis. The entrance to the Naval Academy is across the street, with shops, restaurants, and historic sites nearby. The bed, sheets, and pillows were very comfortable, and our room was old but clean. We stayed in the Commodore 2 suite, on the third floor, which we hadn’t realized meant climbing steep, narrow stairs. There’s no elevator to those rooms. Staff will help with luggage, but making repeated trips up and down isn’t pleasant, especially for older guests or anyone with balance or mobility issues. We’re in our late 60s, but healthy and active. Both bathrooms are extremely small, with only about 3 by 3 feet of standing space. One has a sink and shower, and it was hard to open the door and get into the tiny shower. The other has a sink and toilet and is cramped as well. This used to be a B&B, but it didn’t feel like one to us. The first day, breakfast was just a few pastries, fruit, coffee, and tea. On the second day they also had Chobani yogurt. For the price, I didn’t find that impressive. There aren’t many outlets in the room, and the bathroom GFCI outlets tripped and couldn’t be used when my wife tried to dry her hair. One other note: Naval Academy tours are currently canceled because of the war, so check before traveling if you’re hoping to visit.

We were happy with our stay at the inn and loved Annapolis. We had the front-facing king room on the top floor. The two bathrooms they call a “split” were so cramped that you could hardly move around. I would have preferred a regular bathroom.

The downtown location was a highlight, and the price felt reasonable for such a distinctive Annapolis stay. The mansion-like setting made breakfast especially lovely, with several good choices in the morning. Our room was beautiful, and the bed was a dream to sleep in. This inn is fabulous.

I came across The Flag House Inn by chance, and it turned out to be just what I wanted. Marielle welcomed me so graciously and took wonderful care of me throughout. Traveling alone, I felt safe there. The accommodations were spotless and had all the thoughtful little touches. It’s perfectly placed near Main Street, while still being a bit away from the bustle. I’d absolutely recommend this lovely inn.

Grace was so friendly and gave me useful recommendations for local services. My room was quiet, clean, and comfortable, and the inn’s decor felt warm and welcoming. It’s ideally located near the USNA, restaurants, and shops. On-site parking is limited, but having it there was still a real plus. Very grateful for such a great stay.
