Graduate by Hilton Annapolis

The location made it easy to walk to the Naval Academy and our party venue, and The Graduate made an already joyful Midshipman graduation celebration even better. We visited in December, with cooperative weather and beautiful Annapolis as the backdrop. We stayed in the “trophy room,” which was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The hotel’s classic nautical style is a great tribute to the Naval Academy and its attendees. It felt like walking through a Ralph Lauren ad. The restaurant had a great selection, and both the food and service were delicious. The night crew was spectacular, and the front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. They even let us extend the celebration into the ballroom. The one letdown was a server in the little store on our last day. She was unfriendly, and it felt like she’d woken up on the wrong side of the bed. Everyone had to deal with it. Still, we had a wonderful stay.

Graduate Annapolis has a beautiful design that draws thoughtfully on local history and Navy tradition, giving the hotel real personality. The location is hard to beat, with an easy walk to the U.S. Naval Academy, downtown shops, and restaurants. My room was spotless, comfortable, and well equipped, and the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout. I had a wonderful stay and would absolutely return. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Annapolis.

We were in town for a show at Rams Head and booked a Saturday night in February through the Hilton app. A big gala was going on when we arrived, leaving the lobby crowded. We planned to drop off our things, check in, then park elsewhere, but with the event cars it didn’t look easy to reach the front door, so we parked on site instead. Overnight parking cost $35, paid at the lot entrance. There’s a garage, but it seemed to be for monthly permit holders only. Our space was about a block from the hotel’s garage entrance, so no trouble, but bring an umbrella if it’s raining. The room was clean and comfortable, and surprisingly quiet despite the gala. We had a drink at the hotel bar, where there was live music that night. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. They ask everyone for ID, no matter their age. We didn’t eat there. All the front desk staff were professional and cordial. The location worked well for walking to Rams Head, then to a coffee shop at Ego Alley in the morning. We only realized at the coffee shop that continental breakfast was included. The man who checked us in hadn’t mentioned it. It was a good stay, and we’d come back next time we’re in the area.
