After hiking, my boyfriend and I needed a place to rest for one night. It was quiet, clean, comfortable, and cute. We sat outside after dark and watched deer run through the field, with a great mountain view. We also had awesome food for dinner at the Burning Barrel Bar. We'd stay here again next time.

A nice, family-run spot. We've stayed three times because it's quaint and really quiet. The owners are very nice, though they leave you to yourself, which suits us since we're not very social.

The website hadn't been updated, and that caused problems during our visit. The place is also far out in the middle of nowhere, with no way to get food nearby while the restaurant was closed. I also felt the friendliness was only there if you're white.

We came for dinner at the tavern, where Susan and her husband Brian, the chef, were friendly and accommodating. Everyone here has been welcoming, and our room is very clean. It's not fancy or designed for city folk, but if the basics and a quiet stay are what you want, this is a great place. I honestly wish we were staying longer, and we'll be back.

The portions are huge, enough that the nachos appetizer could be a meal on its own, and it was well worth the money. The homemade food and service were outstanding. The linguini and meatballs were so good they took my breath away, and the Margarita pizza was just as amazing. The restaurant was empty when we arrived, and I didn't understand why until we spoke with our server Susan. You've got to eat here and see for yourself.
