We’ve only eaten at the restaurant so far, and last year we hiked a couple of miles to check two more waterfalls off our West Virginia waterfall-chaser list. The parts of the park we’ve seen are beautiful. We’re looking forward to coming back and exploring more trails.

The bridges are really something to see, with beautiful views along the way. Our boat driver was very friendly and knew a lot about the bridges, sharing all kinds of details on the tour. The boat tours here are awesome, and I’d definitely recommend them.

Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the issues in the room were sorted out quickly. The coffee pot wasn’t working, and one sink handle needed repair. The room itself was clean and fairly basic, which makes sense for a state park lodge where comfort matters more than style.

Dinner came with an amazing sunset view, and the relaxed atmosphere and great staff made the whole visit a pleasure. Those pepper jack Mac and cheese bites are so good, haha. I’d definitely recommend the restaurant.

There’s so much hiking and walking to do, surrounded by nature, fresh air, and joy. Make plenty of time to visit. The view is amazing, hard to describe, so you really have to come see it for yourself.
