We were headed out snowmobiling and this place worked out really well. They let us check in early, and the staff were accommodating and made us comfortable. Service was friendly, they brought extra towels when we needed them, and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was one of the better continental ones I’ve had. I’d book here again.

I needed somewhere to stay for a while because of an emergency housing situation, and the staff have been amazing, so friendly and helpful. I had an interview just down the road this morning, but I don’t drive and it was raining. I didn’t have an umbrella, so the young woman at the desk let me borrow hers. I got the job, and she was just as excited as I was! Housekeeping does a great job and respects my privacy. The prices aren’t horrible either. I’d recommend this place whether you need a night or two or, like me, a longer emergency stay.

The room was tiny, though the shower had a surprising amount of space. The water pressure was fantastic, and cleanup was easy. I hate hotels where you rinse forever and still feel soapy, and that wasn’t a problem here. It was pretty cheap and clean, and seems appointed for the market it serves. It’s an old, crappy hotel that’s been redecorated, lipstick on a pig, basically. I didn’t try the breakfast. We never eat hotel breakfasts, and you shouldn’t either! The parking lot felt very sketchy, with poor lighting and people wandering around. In the lobby there were shoes on the floor and a single sock, but nobody around. Weird. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend staying here overnight in town, but you could be reasonably confident you wouldn’t leave with scabies, so there’s that.

Kind staff and a good price made for a wonderful stay. I’d come back.

The rooms were very clean, and housekeeping did a great job. They’re a little small, but there’s enough room. My main gripe is the shower: there’s almost nowhere for shampoo bottles, washcloths, or loofas. For more than one person, I’d bring suction cup hooks or a shower caddy. Breakfast was satisfying on both of our visits, which were about a year apart. We stayed three nights each time, and the food had a nice variety that changed day to day. Staff kept things replenished promptly when asked, and putting out smaller batches meant items didn’t go cold or dry out. They even had both original and blueberry waffles. The pool area was kept up, the hot tub was hot, and clean towels were always available. The exhaust fan was a bit loud for conversation, but that’s a small nitpick. Victoria deserves a special shoutout. She may be the hardest working hotel employee I’ve ever seen. Whatever she’s paid, it isn’t enough. Don’t lose her! There was a cute coffee and soap display in the room, and the Keurig pods were a big step up from the usual coffee pouches. There was also dress coffee in the lobby, though the in-room coffee was handy before heading downstairs. The whole place seemed well maintained, with a nice outdoor seating area marked as a designated smoking area and four Adirondack chairs. I didn’t see anyone smoke there, but did see people reading. ATV trails can be reached by routes from the hotel, though we trailered to nearby towns instead. Even on a busy holiday weekend there was plenty of parking. This place is a hidden gem, seriously. Don’t sleep on it, pun intended.
