Americas Best Value Inn Antioch

The water fountain in the picture is the nicest thing about this place. Our room looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned for a long time. There were dead flies along the windowsill, and the blinds and tables were grimy. It looked as though the mattress had been sprayed for insects, but dead bugs were still stuck along its piping. I didn’t think a hotel room could be in this condition. I thought there had to be some law or code against it.

The rooms were filthy and full of insects, and the service was awful. When we told the person in the office the place was dirty, he took offense. They didn’t even want to refund our money. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

We paid $140 for a dump, and health inspectors need to come by. Our first room smelled like urine, the toilet had feces in it, and the floors were dirty. The replacement room was better, but the comforter had red stains. I absolutely don’t recommend staying here.

The place was quiet and felt safe, and the location was convenient. The room itself looked beautiful after a really impressive remodel, with new tile floors, a cloud-soft bed, and a Smart TV. A few things did get in the way. There wasn’t a coffee pot, and reception didn’t open for coffee until 7 a.m., after I’d already left for work. There were no “Do Not Disturb” signs, and housekeeping came every day even after I told the front desk I didn’t want service. They changed the towels and made the bed but left the sheets, and the floor stayed so dirty I had to wear sandals to keep my feet from turning black. Still, I’d keep this place in mind if I’m back in the area.
