Sportsman Inn and Suites

No vending machine or pool, just a basic place to wash up and sleep. The rooms are very plain, and though they aren't dirty, they don't give you a clean feeling when you walk in. It's fine if you're working out of town or on a hunting trip with buddies. With your wife and kids, though, I'd give it a hard pass. A happy life is a happy wife, and she won't be happy here.

I bought a room at the Sportsman Inn last night and left almost immediately because of the smell and how filthy it was. There was crud all over the walls and door, and the bathroom was just as disgusting, with a stained shower curtain and walls. There seemed to be dried blood on one bathroom wall. Something was smeared on the TV screen and splattered on the mirror too. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels across the US and Canada, both good and not so good, but nothing as bad as the Sportsman Inn in Antlers, OK. I refused to stay and asked for my money back, but they wouldn't refund it. I also canceled my plans in Antlers for the next day and drove 3.5 hours home that night. Don't make my mistake. Avoid this place like the plague.

It was quiet here over the weekend, and management was understanding when I asked to see a room first. I found no bugs, and the air worked great. My only complaint was that the pool, which had been there for a while, has been removed. For the price, I was really impressed by how clean it was and the hospitality. No other complaints or problems. Five stars.

The rooms were dated, to put it nicely. Our bathroom toilet kept backing up and overflowing when flushed. The neighbors were loud, drinking and working on vehicles all night. It was overpriced for one night, though the rate is good if you're staying a week or longer.
