The showerhead was disgusting, and there was something growing in the coffee pot that defied science. The driveway had three broken-down cars, and the hotel is next to a gun range. I had to turn up the AC and TV to cover the sound of the shots. It was a cheap room, so I’m glad I didn’t pay more.

We were meant to go in October, but a hurricane came through and they guaranteed us a refund. I’m still trying to get it sorted, with no one helping, and now they’re saying we aren’t getting a refund without giving a reason. We’ve been patient for many, many months, and it just doesn’t feel fair to be told no after all that. I usually don’t like leaving bad reviews, but don’t book with them. Listen to the bad reviews. I’ll keep fighting for that refund :)

I stayed for two weeks and had no significant problems. It was quiet, affordable, and I’d stay again if I needed to. They made my bed, cleaned the room, changed the towels, and took out the trash each day. Soap, shampoo, toilet paper, and coffee packets were supplied daily, and the clerk even lowered the weekly rate when I asked. The bathroom is old but okay. The hot water smelled rusty for a couple of minutes, then it was fine. It may still have copper piping, and maybe the water heaters need flushing and cleaning. That’s a plumber’s job, not the clerk’s. Really, I have no complaints.

The air conditioner was one of the best parts for me, it was actually clean, unlike the nasty, smelly units in most hotels. The room didn’t have that odd hotel smell either. Staff were very friendly. After reading the reviews, I expected the room to be filthy, so I was surprised by how clean it was. Maybe I got lucky with one of the nicer rooms. People can check the room before checking in to see if it meets their standards. And if being next to a gun range bothers you, just don’t stay here, it’s that simple lol. Other places I called were either full for spring break or over $150 a night, so I was very pleased with my stay.
