Wingate By Wyndham Appleton

The construction made the stay less peaceful, but the service and the breakfast and coffee were much better than I expected. Jessica, the Assistant Manager, was especially friendly and helpful, and the staff did a great job accommodating us while the work was going on. Highly recommend!

The bathroom tub surrounds were peeling and cracking, and there wasn't a hot tub even though one was listed. Since the continental breakfast area was being remodeled, breakfast wasn't available either. Construction also made our stay very loud. I'm sure things will be better once it's finished.

The rooms suited my business trip well. Mine was quiet, comfortable, had plenty of pillows, and the facilities were generally well kept. The property is in the middle of a major refurbishment and rebranding, so the exterior was under reconstruction and the lobby smelled of paint and sawdust. The rooms weren't affected. They expected things to be back to normal by the end of October. I moved here after a bad experience at the hotel across the street, which I also reviewed. Jessica, the Assistant Manager, was amazing and even suggested places for dinner. One of the owners was there and, after hearing about my trouble at the other hotel, went out of his way to upgrade my stay. He clearly cared and worked hard to earn my business.

We were in town for the Bengals vs Packers game, and the hotel was well located with the best price. Lambeau Field was a 45 minute drive away. Check in was easy, the front desk staff were nice and helpful, and the room was clean. There was hot breakfast every day, and I got an email after checking out. I'd stay again.
