Comfort Inn & Suites Thomson

My room was clean, with a big jetted tub, clean fridge and microwave, and plenty of towels. Breakfast was hot, good, and had lots of choices. They’d set up a spot on the nightstand to plug in USB cables, too. The TV was dated and a bit fuzzy, with few channels if you’re not into news or ESPN, but it wasn’t a big deal since I mostly watch things on my phone. I don’t get all the bad reviews. Sure, it’s an older hotel, but it was clean and the staff were friendly.

The hallways smelled like weed and feet, and the room was filthy. There was toothpaste left in the bathroom sink, a dirty, stained tub, uncleaned carpet, screws on the floor that we nearly stepped on, and trash behind the beds. The bed skirts and curtains were stained, and the curtains were broken so we couldn’t block the light. The sink by the coffee maker was dirty and marked with something, and there were ceiling stains that looked like painted-over black mold. We woke up with a couple of bites, which I can only assume were bed bugs. This was by far the worst hotel we’ve stayed in. Do NOT stay here. Find somewhere else.

We woke up to a cockroach in the bathroom. Disgusting. At check-in, I wiped the room down with antibacterial wipes I happened to have in my purse. The light between the beds was broken and the lighting was poor. We won’t stay here again. Don’t stay here!

The room was spotless and quiet, with a comfortable bed and a perfect bath and shower. The young man at the desk was super nice, too. I drove my husband to Waynesboro, GA for surgery, and since everything closer was booked, I found Comfort Inn and Suites in Thomson. They had exactly the accessible room I needed. I couldn’t have found a better place to stay. Thank you for providing this much-needed gem during a stressful time.
