Quality Inn Thomson

I gave them two stars because I didn’t see any bugs, but the place is pathetic. The walls and doors were dirty, the drapes stained, and the bathroom looked nasty. That’s what you get with a $60 hotel.

The place wasn’t clean. There was hair and dirt in the tub, and the shampoo bottles were nasty with no shampoo in them. I wish we’d checked the reviews from the past year before checking in. All the good reviews are at least 2 years old. We come through here a lot, but won’t stay at this hotel again.

Truck parking beside the hotel fit my pickup and trailer, and the bed was comfortable for my one-night stay. It’s an older hotel that’s been updated. My one complaint was the light coming through the window. It made the room look like daylight outside, so better curtains would help.

It was very clean, convenient, and fairly priced, and check-out was quick, friendly, and easy. We got a good night’s rest, since we were far enough from the people hanging out by their doors. The exterior doors and two-story layout mean there’s no elevator. It’s a remodeled old Budget Inn, so you need a bit of a sense of humor to stay here. I didn’t check the breakfast. In our nonsmoking room, the comforter had cigarette burns, and the plastic sheeting crinkled every time you moved. Pass this one up if you’re a stickler for details.
