Seascape Beach Resort

Construction, including balcony removal, was going on during our stay, and our rooms weren’t what we expected. The visit felt much less accommodating than the ones we remembered, and the buffet was disappointing compared with how we’d enjoyed it years ago. Seascape Beach Resort used to be one of our favorite places. When we lived nearby, we spent a lot of time there with our boys when they were little, enjoying the beautiful setting and relaxed atmosphere. After moving to Montana, we planned a reunion for my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary and had family come from North Dakota, Montana, and Colorado because we loved the resort so much. This trip was especially disappointing given how much the place means to our family. Properties change and get renovated, and we hope the resort can return to the high standards and warm experience we once loved.

We’ve filmed weddings here on both sunny and foggy days, and the venue feels magical in either kind of weather. It’s a dream wedding location, and we’d love to capture the charm of the place and the magic of your day.

UPDATE: The manager got in touch, addressed all my concerns, and we reached an agreement. He was kind and extremely professional, and I’m happy with the outcome. That’s why I’ve given the service more stars and the location all stars. My husband and I spent New Year’s Eve here, and the evening started off wonderfully, with drinks at the bar, hors d’oeuvres, and a great patio atmosphere. Later, we returned to find ants covering the counters and walls. It was disgusting and made the room unlivable. I have a severe phobia of ants and panicked so badly that I couldn’t sleep in the room, so I ended up in the car. We called the front desk. They said the problem would be “written down,” but offered no other room, help, or escalation to a manager. The situation was traumatic and badly handled. We left the resort extremely early, as soon as the sun came up, hours before normal checkout. At the time, we still hadn’t heard from a manager, which was unacceptable. I documented everything in time-stamped photos and videos. Guest safety and room cleanliness clearly failed. A beautiful resort means little if guests aren’t supported when they need help. The response to a serious issue was unacceptable.

The cliffs by the ocean are so close that you can walk over and take great photos. The property is incredibly beautiful, and I’d want to get married here. I also loved the conference center and executive suites, and the restaurant and bar serve fantastic food and drinks. Breakfast outside on the patio is a great way to start the day.
