Candlewood Suites Aransas Pass by IHG

Courtney deserves the update to this review. She worked hard to find me a room with working Ethernet, took charge of the problem, and stayed with it until I was moved. Her professionalism and generosity were unlike anything I’ve experienced in more than 10 years with IHG. That saved me hours of packing and moving all my things to another hotel. She’s excellent. Earlier, Justin at the front desk had also been incredibly kind and helpful. He tried other rooms and contacted technical support with me to get an Ethernet connection for work. They never fixed the problem, though, and I had to check out early and get a room elsewhere. I’d called ahead to confirm Ethernet was available, so that was disappointing. Justin did everything he could, and his customer service was beyond reproach. I just wish it had ended differently.

Our evening ended with the family grilling outside, a lovely way to spend time together. The grill area is open 24 hours, and my daughter was happy with the pool. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel had everything we needed, including a kitchen with necessities and free laundry. It’s a short drive to the ferry and beach, and there’s a nice place to fish very close by. Don’t think it gets better than that.

The full kitchenette in the room and the laundry facilities made this a convenient stay, and the location in Aransas Pass was good. The free Tesla charger was a big plus, and I used it to charge my car at no cost. The rate was decent, too. If you’re going to Port Aransas, keep in mind it’s a little far because you have to cross on the ferry. Otherwise, the hotel was perfect.

We stayed for the whole last week of August 2025, and the staff made it an awesome visit. We got to know Courtney, the front desk manager, Justin on the night desk, and Roshan, the GM. The hotel was also outstanding for cleanliness and amenities. Great job, guys!
